A two in one robot vacuum, in 2026, what is so exciting about an autonomous cleaning gadget? “The world’s first dual-form transformable floor washing robot” is how Xlean describes TR1. A cleaning device that can be used with a handle or self-moving. Both in dry and wet mode, with AI, this model can keep the floor surface sparkling clean.
While strolling through the IFA Future Tech Hall #25 a few years ago I met the Xlean team at their stand while all were describing the hybrid machine to curious visitors and onlookers. Debuting not only a new model, but a striking design on an age-old gadget was a bold step for a new company. The gleaming black docking station with hanging handle, a rectangular shaped robot was a risking strategy at the consumer fair. Of course, the show team displayed enormous enthusiasm during the product demonstrations.
After trying the new upgraded TR1 a second time in Hall #8, Black and Paper decided to give our IFA Design Award to Xlean. The ease of use, self cleaning, smooth movement and overall advanced feel makes this one a winner.
