Kering Group lost a case against a YouTubber accusing the social media creator of slandering the company’s leather wear subsidiary Bottega Veneta. The case involved the “Made in Italy” label along with a 4500 euro handbag that may or may not have been produced on the peninsula, but instead crafted in China, then finished some where in Tuscany. Kering sued to have Meta take the video down. The French judge through the case out. The ruling leaves open a number of questions for the giant luxury corporation.
