Versace has been through a bit of turmoil recently. Recently bought and sold twice, legacy head Donatella ousted by the new owner, Prada Group. The news All eyes turned to Milan for the debut spring collection. Dario Vitale went for a shock and awe runway presentation. Goodbye glam, hello accessible streetwear for young buyers. Reaching back to the brands’s80’s and 90’s looks, Vitale went commercial. As a whole the collection was more about pieces than a cohesive, at times jolted, picture. Yet, the delivered message, sales. This new Versace is all about the cash register.
