“Look Better, Sounds Perfect” is the slogan Yaber places on the K3 projector. After having a few Movie Nights using the home theatre device, the four worded motto matches the quality. The picture quality with 1080p resolution and 1600 ANSI brightness are fine for large wall screen viewing with nice color specs. The handy Intelligent Screen Alignment quickly scales the framing size in the range of 40, 100 and 200 inches. The projector’s light lifespan is up to 30.000 hours of viewing. Built-in audio with JBL speakers is balanced and clear.
The Yaber interface could use a bit of a digital upgrade. The integrated features run smoothly connecting easily with Google TV, Bluetooth devices, computers, Netflix, and other apps.
The other problem is the size of the K3. Portable, yes, but not in a simple way, at 5 kilos the black box viewing gadget would require some planning to move from one space to another. A projector stand could be useful.
Are there better home projectors? No doubt, yes. However, for the price point the K3 Projector, around $500, is a good device to have for Saturday Night Movie watching. So far seeing Avatar-The Way of Water, Flow, Planet of the Apes and the Chanel Fashion Show were enjoyable, near big screen cinematic experiences while sitting on my sofa.
