IFAAmazfit at IFA

IFA Berlin came to a close while the consumer electronics show is over. I had a think concerning some nifty gadgets shown at the 101st edition.

Philips Monitor

Philips Immersive Monitor.  The screen is so vivid it feels as if one could touch the surface.  The 2.500 euros screen is mesmerising with its sharp quality.

Walking past the stands in Hall 5 the green themed posters of Tuff 8 caught my eye. The tech accessory brand offers lifetime warranty products made from high quality materials. The 27-year-old company has a Less Waste Philosophy for its smartphone cases and protectors that are produced to last.

The Candy Multi Washer with two smaller barrels on top of the larger barrel is a unique design to what should be a blasé everyday appliance. The digital display on the windows and sleek design makes this washer machine a standout.

Shift is all about real sustainability from packaging to parts.  Even the company ethos is “Planet over Profit”.  The are no owners or shareholders, the company produces in small quantities.   The Shift smartphone operates on the Murena OS.  The unique part, the phone battery can be user replaced without the need of going to a repair center. Stay tuned for the full story.

The Vention 27000mAh power bank packs a lot of energy in a small attractive cylinder.  The travel safe charger comes with enough storing power to recharge three devices including a laptop.

The Sigma BF is a camera and a work of art.   Both the metallic silver and black colors are inspired minimalism of technology. With a 35mm mirrorless full-frame sensor, 24 megapixel and a 3.2 monitor.  This digital camera is an instant design classic.

A sapphire glass on an affordable fitness watch comes across as leap into the luxury category.  Yes, Amazfit upgraded with new T-Rex Pro 3 wearable with a microphone, speaker light and the 180 sport modes.

Insta 360’s new sport cameras are not just for the adventurous.  The Insta360 GO Ultra white and black models are for taking pictures while walking in the park.

Hohem is new on the market with a lot of enthusiasm.  The content gear maker produces a range of semi-professional and professional gimbals at better prices than bigger brands.

Is it possible to reinvent a vacuum?  Yes.  Xlean came to IFA with a simple idea, add a handle to robot cleaner. The duo function is brilliant.   If there is a household spill, just grab the handle, insert in the top, then run over the spot.  Or just let the robot run on its own.

For just sheer macho power, the Yarbo mower fits the bill.  Front and center is the yellow branded color detail and the Autobot look. Surprisingly, the robot lawn mower is remarkably silent with its ten individual cutting blades.  Relax, let the Yarbo do the hard work.

The colorful AgfaPhoto point and shoot cameras.  For reasons only known to the under 30 something crowd, these inexpensive cameras have become fashionable accessories to snap a picture or produce a quick video.

Not from China, not from Germany, but from Turkey, BR design kitchens came out of left field while I strolling through the cavernous Hall 9 at IFA.  The elegantly designed cooking interiors exuded a high caliber of craftsmanship.
