Fresh N Rebel Headsets

The verdict on the Clam Ace2 wireless over ear headphones, a worthy contender for anyone searching for affordable technology in this category.  While not in the premium category, the overall sound quality has a nice pulse wrapped in a reliable packaging.

At only 99 euros, Fresh ‘N Rebel built a good product.  From the moment I started using my blue set, the impressions were all positive. On the right is the power off.  The ease of connecting to other devices via Bluetooth at the same time eliminated the need to reconnect between multiple devices.

My gym studio located in a mall under complete reconstruction with the noise level of sitting under a busy freeway at rush hour.  While working out, just a tap on the left speaker, the clear voice prompts told me either Normal, ANC or Ambient.  On the ANC mode, the upstairs jackhammer sounds suddenly faded into the background.

A novel detail is the volume control outside the right cup proves its worth.  Instead of the high tech sliding the finger up or down feature, just turn the inconspicuous volume control wheel.

Making or receiving phone calls, just tap on the right ear speaker to accept the call at the same time activating the microphone.

The Clam Ace 2 comes with good battery life, there is no need to charge daily, every other day after a few hours use is sufficient.  The claimed “Quick Charge” is true.  The red-light indicator went to green in less than a half hour after around six hours of use.

The Fresh ‘N Rebel app allows for a more tailored listening experience. However, this user found the functions fine without the linked digital controls on the smartphone.

A headset that won’t break the wallet while at the same time offering some genuinely cut above the rest user friendly features.
