A aemnant from World War 2 sits in the middle of Hamburg, the Feldstrasse Bunker sits in the middle of the harbour city built during dark times as a bomb proof fortess for anti aircraft guns. After the war the structure stood while the surrounding area laid in ruins. The St. Pauli neighborhood concrete edifice was completed by slave labor in 1942. After a $100 million make over, there are cafes, restaurants and a hotel located inside.
Open to the public, the rooftop views are worth the climb to the peak offering four sided vistas of the city.
