Rob Reiner Film

I woke on the morning of 15th to messages from friends and colleagues concerning news about actor, filmmaker Rob Reiner. The Hollywood multi talent was found dead at home with his wife. The director was a person of good taste and range shaping an era of film going from helming modern classics such as When Harry Met Sally to founding a mini major Castle Rock in 1987, the studio behind producing the #1 tv show Seinfeld. The son of legendary comedian Carl Reiner, Robert became a household name playing Michael Stivic on the 1971 ground breaking sitcom All in the Family.

  1. The Sure Thing, 3 out of 5 stars. For some reason this coming of age film grew on me.
  2. Stand by Me, 4 out of 5 stars. Another coming of age piece that tugs on the sleeve.
  3. When Harry Met Sally, 4 out of 5. A warm old fashion romantic comedy with a happy ending.
  4. The Princess Bride, 3.5 out of 5 stars. Yes, this fantasy adventure comedy is a bit slow moving, but the film drew me in every time with its charm.
  5. A Few Good Me, 4 out of 5 stars. An intelligent Hollywood Blockbuster.
